I was looking for your email address and in my search, I pulled up and reread a bunch of emails that I sent to you the day after the surgery when Brian was in some pain. I sounded like such a panicky mom in my email. You were so wonderful and patient with me. This was my first experience as a mom where my child had any type of surgical procedure (he had a minor procedure done on his eye when he was 3 or 4) and even though I tried to be calm, the whole idea of my son having surgery was a little scary. Your office and staff helped put us as ease before the procedure, kept me informed during the procedure, and provided unbelievable care after. Since the procedure, Brian's nose looks exactly as Dr. Dayan showed us during our very first visit and we were told it's still swolen so it's only going to get better. Everyone in your office, Dr. Dayan, you, and the nurse (her name escapes me) have answered all of Brian's questions and have treated him, (even though he is 18) with the utmost respect. I appreciate that. I have not always seen my son treated this way by other adults because he is just a "kid" but your office is different. I know he appreciated that too.
My son was always a pretty confident kid but this procedure has allowed him to walk a little taller because his confidence has grown even more. There is nothing more that a mother can ask for than for her child to feel good about himself. Dr. Dayan (and the rest of the office) has helped that to happen and I am truly grateful to you. P.S. The double-sided tape is working great! Scotch makes a permanent double-sided tape in 3/4 inch that is even better than what you gave me. I bought it at Target. One little piece lasts all day with no adjustment needed.
I could not be happier with the experience I had. I was extremely nervous before the procedure but both Dr. Dayan and his assistant Katie were extremely kind and attentive. I asked a million questions (no really, a million) and they made sure to answer all of them, consistently following up to confirm that I felt comfortable and safe. The surgery itself went very smoothly. The staff at the surgery center were fantastic. Katie even went the extra mile and walked my dog when I couldn't get home from the surgery center in time.
The recovery has been speedier than I ever could have anticipated. Once the splint came off, I had black eyes for about a week -- but other than that, I looked like a better version of myself almost immediately. I had to be gentle with my nose but I went back to my normal routine a couple days after coming home.
My biggest concern about the rhinoplasty was that it would be obvious. I didn't want to pay to walk through the rest of my life with a face that looked unnatural. Dr. Dayan took my nose and made it better -- which is exactly what I wanted. He listened to my concerns and we talked through what was possible and what wasn't. I felt like an active participant in the process (of course, he did all the hard work:)). By the time the day of surgery rolled round I knew we were on the same page and I completely trusted him and his judgment. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Before deciding to have rhinoplasty surgery I did a lot of research. Throughout my research, I couldn't find anyone more skilled and experienced than Dr. Dayan.
As expected, my surgery went well. I couldn't be happier with the results! Everyday, I look in the mirror and am grateful for the excellent job Dr. Dayan has done. The service, the treatment and, most importantly, the results were all 5-star across the board. I could not have asked for anything more.

Undergoing the chin implant procedure with Dr. Dayan was one of the best decisions I've made. I am now two months post-op and I could not be happier with the results. The procedure is a conservative one, requires only 2-3 days of downtime, and only 7-10 days to return to work. The chin implant will not dramatically change your appearance, the difference is subtle but profound. For the right candidate, the procedure can make a huge difference in balance and symmetry without changing distinctive aspects of one's face. The difference in my appearance is amazing given the conservative nature of the procedure. In addition to the self-confidence one achieves in taking the initiative and completing the operation, I am much happier with my own appearance, more likely to express myself in public without feeling self-conscious, and have noticed social benefits as a result.
For best results, I recommend following all of the advice given by Dr. Dayan in his pre-op instructions. Dr. Dayan was completely accurate in his description of the procedure, the recovery time, and the results I could expect. If you have any questions regarding the technical details or risks of the operation, you should definitely contact him because he is an expert on all of the operations he performs. As far as recovery goes, I would expect not to do any serious exercise for three weeks to a month. However, I am now two months post-op and have returned to playing sports. I only used pain medication for 3-4 days following the surgery, and only needed the Valium one or two nights. The implant feels completely natural, secure, comfortable, and it looks great. I thank Dr. Dayan, Katie, Kaitlin and his wonderful staff, they are amazing and have made the process an extremely easy and rewarding one for me.
Everything that you have done for my chin has been a great Christmas present and a miracle. So I thank you very very much.

When Nancy felt like her appearance was starting to look aged, she began searching for a board certified facial plastic surgeon in Chicago. A plastic surgeon in southern Illinois, who had previously worked in Chicago, directed Nancy toward Steven H. Dayan, M.D., FACS. Nancy selected Dr. Dayan as her trusted medical provider on his recommendation for her facelift, brow lift, and blepharoplasty procedures.
She knew that she did not want to appear fake, making Dr. Dayan's signature style of creating natural yet remarkable transformations an excellent fit for her aesthetic goals. In 2006, Nancy received her facelift. Her mother had received a facelift at 50, so her family remained very unobtrusive during her process. They were already familiar with the routine.
Aside from some discomfort the first night after her surgery, she says she was "very surprised" by how "painless" the procedure felt. Only one week after the surgery, she began to see the effects of the procedure. "I feel good about myself. I feel younger," Nancy says.
Nancy continues to return to the practice of Steven H. Dayan, M.D., FACS to maintain her look. Not only has she been highly satisfied with Dr. Dayan's work, she has also been impressed with his entire team, "Dr. Dayan's staff is an unbelievable combination of talent!"
Carol has trusted Dr. Dayan with her eyes, neck, and chin since 2004. She first learned about Dr. Dayan through a family doctor. However it was Dr. Dayan's compassion and how comfortable she felt with him that made her choose the Chicago facial plastic surgeon. Carol received a facelift, blepharoplasty, and chin implant.
When Carol told her family about her procedure, they were all very excited for her. After receiving her treatment in 2004, Carol started seeing results from her neck lift about 3-4 weeks later. She says the most surpising part of her experience was seeing the before and after pictures. Ironically, Carol's primary concern going into surgery was how the results would turn out, but still today, she loves her appearance. Not only does she believe that she looks better, she feels better.
Carol said that she would do it again in a heartbeat. "Because the better you look the better your outlook is."
Jill came to Dr. Dayan for her revision rhinoplasty. "I had rhinoplasty in 2004 to correct a deviated septum, which corrected the inside of my nose but left the outside looking sunken and crooked."
Jill fortunately heard about Dr. Dayan in more than one place. She heard about him from the internet, and she also was referred to him from another cosmetic surgeon who does not perform revision rhinoplasties.
Jill made the decision to see Dr. Dayan for her revision surgery. "He and I were on the same page about everything: the initial concerns I had about shape, the expectations about my surgery and results, and the recovery."
Prior to her procedure, Jill had concerns. She neither wanted to look too "done," nor did she want a nose that showed little improvement at all. In December 2010 (only 3 months before her pictures for this website were taken), Jill arrived at the office in Chicago for her revision rhinoplasty. One week later, her concerns were assuaged. She started seeing the results, and she calls them "amazing."
"Nothing Compared," says Denise who researched online and scheduled consultations with multiple Chicago cosmetic surgeons.
Denise points out that feeling very comfortable at Dr. Dayan's office was an influencing factor for her, "You have to feel like you're with the right doctor. You have to feel like you're in good hands." Denise was impressed that the staff at the front desk knew her on a first-name basis. She says that Dr. Dayan was open and honest.
"I felt comfortable," says Denise.
Although every patient has a few concerns about how they will feel after the surgery, the recovery process for Denise went well. There was some bruising, but it went away within 4-5 days. She says that she experienced no pain in the nose, only slight discomfort. Though the otoplasty was a little tender, she says she would do it all over again. She calls it a "really great experience."
Denise was back to work in about 8 days, and no one said anything. People didn't even notice— which is exactly what she wanted. The natural appearance is signature to Dr. Dayan's work. "It's my nose still. It's just— better," Denise says.
Denise loves the way her confidence has boosted since her surgeries, "I want to get dolled up every day now… it's kind of amazing on a daily basis."
Susan was impressed by the environment at Dr. Dayan's office. She notes that the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and caretaking. She was even more impressed by Dr. Dayan himself.
"He's a genuine person, and he has a genuine concern about each of his patients… And really enjoys enabling us to getting back to feeling like we are ourselves."
As an artist herself, she took note of Dr. Dayan's artistic eye. She wanted a doctor who would maintain the integrity of her facial structure. Susan researched Dr. Dayan's affiliations and certifications, discovering that he was a dually board-certified facial plastic surgeon in Chicago. As part of her research, she looked at 3-4 Chicago facelift surgeons. After looking at Dr. Dayan's materials and speaking with people at his events, she left feeling very comfortable moving forward with Dr. Dayan as her facial cosmetic surgeon.
Susan had a positive post-operative experience. She and her friend/ caretaker took advantage of staying at a nearby hotel at which Dr. Dayan's patients receive exclusive rates. Susan says that the pressure made it uncomfortable, but she wouldn't really call it pain.
The results have made it completely worth it to Susan. She notes that she is turning 68 soon and has been "mistaken for 50 a few times." She also notes that she's not as stressed about losing her appearance. "I'm more relaxed about how I look. Before, when I'd go to the gym, I'd put plenty of cream on my neck or when I was really working hard," she jokes about her previous efforts to preserve her youthfulness. The confidence boost that Susan has received from her procedure is priceless. "I think it's made me feel more confident," Susan says. "I feel like I'm me again. And people can see what's inside of me, too."
"I was beginning to feel a lot older than I am chronologically," says Mickie who turned to injectables and non-surgical procedures at Dr. Dayan's office to reverse her signs of aging. Mickie chose Dr. Dayan because of his reputation for being outstanding with injections. Mickie lives in the Northshore community of the Chicago area, and his name was frequently used amongst her peers and colleagues.
"Dr. Dayan is a conservative appearing person, very quiet and confident, and that made me feel confident," says Mickie. "When I spoke with Dr. Dayan, it made me feel as if he knew exactly what I wanted to achieve, which was not a plastic face." Mickie researched for about 3 years before deciding pursue injectables, but new products kept coming out. When Mickie called Dr. Dayan's office, she had questions as to whether or not he would have the products that she'd read about. Mickie was told that though Dr. Dayan provides all of the most popular non surgical products such as Juvederm® and Dysport®, the products would only be used if they were right for her.
"I was not nervous before the treatment. I just felt that I was in the right place. Maybe I was a little concerned about the pain, and I was surprised that I did not make a sound." Mickie has experienced very little bruising with her treatments. "Go with your inside feelings." Mickie says that her procedures have made her feel "like a younger woman than I really am."
"The only way you can freeze time is with a good doctor and some Botox®," jokes Wendellyne who has visited Dr. Dayan's office for years. This vibrant woman began to seek out non-surgical treatments in the Chicago area after she began feeling like physically, her reflection no longer matched her young and lively personality.
At first, she says she was concerned about pursuing her beauty treatments. Unfortunately, a good friend of hers had a negative experience with a facility that did not provide appropriate treatment. This guided her to complete a thorough research before choosing who to perform her injections. Wendellyne chose Dr. Dayan's office based on his experience.
She says she was a little nervous at first about visiting a cosmetic surgeon. She expected to be fussed over and made to feel unattractive. She was concerned that all of her flaws would be pointed out in order to get her to request more treatments.
"It's nice going here because no one makes you feel that way. If something is too much they'll say, 'You look great. That's too much,'" Wendellyne says.
"I think when you're ready to go do something, don't go do it because you don't like something about yourself. Do it because you love everything about yourself and you're ready. You're ready to embrace being as beautiful as you can be."
